Bear in mind this does not equal eating sleeves of Thin Mints with wild abandon.  This is the freedom of being at home in your body + mind.  You know…that moment when you put on the jeans and they no longer leave a button imprint on your mid-section, when you put down the fork because you are satisfied, not because My Fitness Pal is watching or when you take a walk to simmer your mind’s monkeys instead of drowning them in cookies-n-cream.  This is FREEDOM and it’s created through sustainable habits.

 

You see... when you start to construct habits that are motivated by pleasure, they become an ingrained part of you. And the REAL magic happens when you create habits that make you feel better in the short AND long term.  Because we all know that third glass of Pinot makes you feel free as a bird in the moment, but tomorrow tends to sing a different tune.  

The BLISS Method is designed to create sustainable habits that generate more pleasure in your life, both short and long term.  Whether it’s through upleveling your breakfast from Raisin Bran to Abby’s Superfood Granola, granting you permission to run a few less miles and bring in a few more weights, or uncovering that thing you LOVE to do, but never make time for.

The point being, when you’re motivated by pleasure, not by punishment it’s a whole different ballgame.  

A ballgame where you spin for 30 minutes and you crave kale over Krispy Kreme with no struggle. You make choices because you know what it feels like to feel good and feeling good becomes your barometer for wellness, not the amount of calories consumed or steps taken.

Meet Abby Bliss White

Abby is known for her coveted seasonal detoxes, wellness coaching, personal training  and, her skin care obsession.

The moment you get around her you want to reign in your chocolate covered almond consumption, give collard greens a fighting chance and ditch your acne cream dujour. 

You see... Abby walks her talk.  

On any given day you can find Abby sleuthing Portland for the latest artisanal pizza, discovering the new, local beet flavored kombucha or dabbling in the current skin balancing serum that simmers wrinkles without destroying your health.  She lives the life of a green juicing goddess that eats ice cream with her family, gets pedicures with her daughter, and honestly craves a run.  She has found the almighty, sweet spot in wellness. 

But this was not always the case.

Abby had her day of dining on boundless No Pudge Brownies, washed down with several sips of Merlot leading to a version of herself that she did not recognize. Literally. 

She found herself looking at a picture of her daughter holding a woman’s hand.  At first glance she could not pinpoint the woman.  After a hard, second look she realized...

That woman was her. 

Stress, sadness and an extra 30 lbs had officially found their way into Abby’s life. Feeling the impact of these three amigos Abby turned to liquid lunches, frozen dinners and an unwavering dedication to her allotted daily points.

Feeling trapped in a restrictive lifestyle that put her in social isolation and denial of any real culinary pleasure, she started hunting for a better way to do healthy.

And that’s when her wellness pilgrimage officially took flight. 

Abby enrolled in an intuitive eating program, which led to a personal training certification, yoga teacher training, several wellness curriculums including advanced nutrition and detox courses, and an infatuation with the beauty industry.
